My Work: Finding the amount of vitamins and fatty acids in milk using analytical chemistry
My Typical Day: Checking results from yesterday’s experiments, figuring out why the experiment didn’t work, reading, writing.
What I'd do with the money: I would start a competition aimed at students who want to compete in the BT Young Scientist or SciFest competitions.
Students from around the country would submit an experimental plan. The plan should outline why the experiment is taking place, the method they will use, any problems they expect to face and how they will overcome them. The winning students will use the prize money to buy any chemicals or equipment to complete the outlined project. Hopefully this will be a big help to any students who have their eye on the Young Scientist or SciFest competitions. Or any other type of competition that you need to come up with an experiment, those are just the most popular ones.
