• Question: Are there any other types of food we haven't tried that we should be eating to improve our health? Such as dogs or insects?

Dogs… no. Insects YES! Eating insects for protein is the up and coming area in food science at the moment. There is a movement toward non-animal sources of protein such as plants and insects. Because as the population grows we have less land, and animals like beef cattle take up a lot of space. Also insects are cheaper, more sustainable and really high in protein but low in fat.

Insect “flour” is when the insects (often meal worms or crickets) are roasted then ground into a powder. This can be used similar to normal flours to produce a high protein paste which can be cooked and has a nutty flavour!
