I possibly could’ve put more work in at times… But I came up trumps when it was required! Sometimes doing your best in the lab just isnt enough… Cause we don’t always know the answer or even how to get to the answer. I think a lot of it comes down to being ok with asking for help sometimes, and that way your best and somebody elses best can get you further!

Certainly I could have done more especially at my early stages of research life. I could have been more inquisitive, more risk taker and explorative with experiments that could have contributed to the research that I was undertaking.

I think I definitely could have worked harder during my degree. The few weeks before exams were always spent cramming. Every semester I told myself next time would be different, but it wasn’t until my last semester that I really pulled my socks up!

Since I’ve started this research I’ve tried to do my best and work hard every day but I do get easily distracted, especially when people ask me if I want to go for tea (the answer is always yes!)

Like the guys above, there were certainly times where I could have worked harder or put in a bit more time. But, I think most people can say that about everything to be honest, whether its science they work in or not!
