        If you have a look at your wrists, you’ll see that the veins appear to be blue. The blood in your veins is a dark red and when the veins are covered by skin, they look blue. Blood found in your arteries is a much brighter red because it’s full of oxygen.

        So your blood is always red, although the shade of red depends if you’re looking at blood found in veins or arteries

        Also fun fact… If you’re unfortunate enough to be poisoned by Carbon Monoxide your blood would have a beautiful bright cherry red colour! It’s all how Oxygen or sometimes Carbon Monoxide reacts with a really important protein in your red blood cells called haemoglobin. It’s responsible for transporting Oxygen around your body.
