My favourite thing is when you finally get something to work. I’d say I spend a good 80% of my time failing. Which is fine, that’s not uncommon. But when something finally clicks and works! That feeling is so awesome! You’ll walk around the corridor finding someone to tell. And because this happens to a lot of us, we’ll feign interest when someone else got something to work 🙂

My favourite thing about science is that you get to investigate exactly how certain things work, and getting to travel to different places to talk about my research. No matter how long you are studying science, there’s always more to learn. In fact, some of the questions I’ve been asked have really stumped me. So you can really learn something from everyone you met, which is why I enjoy meeting so many people at conferences.

‘Science is fun’. That’s what we used to read when we were in primary and high schools. It was a general science then. Now as we go to more specific and small part of that science, and attempt to prove this minute hypothesis scientifically, questioning each step of the experiment in this scientific endeavor is fun.
